- Mogo Sprout
- A Child's Journey is a global investigation that can be found on Frozen Mogo and Matron's Orphanage. There are eight parts that comprise this investigation. It is part of the Hope Burns Bright chapter in the Light and Rain story arc.
Synopsis
- A young alien refugee on Mogo makes diary entries to chronicle their journey into darkness.

MogoPart 1: Bad Matron
- Zone: Frozen Mogo
- Region: Base of Mountain: Refugee Camp
- Location: Behind the tent west of the destroyed wall of the Green Lantern Outpost.
- Investigation: Kennik: " Other kids have been talking about something lately. They say the Matron is taking all of the kids here to the Orphanage, not just the actual orphans. No one has proof... yet. But I'm going to find the truth!"

Frozen MogoPart 2: Escape!
- Zone: Frozen Mogo
- Region: Base of Mountain: Red Lantern Encampment
- Location: Just outside of the southernmost encampment, by the southeast corner.
- Investigation: Kennik: " They heard about me snooping around and were going to take me away, but my Durlan friend warned me before they got to our tent. I ran away and wiggled out of a small hole in the fence before they could find me. It's cold and scary, but I need to stay free if I'm going to expose their crimes."

Frozen MogoPart 3: Hiding Out
- Zone: Frozen Mogo
- Region: Base of Mountain: Canyon Path
- Location: Around the first rock coming from the Red Lantern area.
- Investigation: Kennik: " I know I heard Papa's voice last night! He was calling my name - he escaped too! He's looking for me... but so are the Red Lanterns. The storm has helped me hide, but that won't last forever. I hope they don't get Papa... please don't get Papa!"
Part 4: Papa's Camp
- Zone: Frozen Mogo
- Region: Base of Mountain: Canyon Path
- Location: At the first dead end coming from the Red Lantern area.
- Investigation: Kennik: " I think Papa's camp is around here somewhere, but he's just as good at hiding as I am... I can't find his trail anywhere! But the Red guys are still patrolling and hunting, and I heard one of them say there's two of us at large - that means Papa and me. We're both free... for now."
Part 5: Red Lanterns!
- Zone: Frozen Mogo
- Region: Base of Mountain: Canyon Path
- Location: At the final dead end coming from the Red Lantern area.
- Investigation: Kennik: " Oh, grife! That Red Lantern that looks like a ball with arms and legs - I think he saw me! They know where I am, and the storm has cleared. I gotta find a new hiding place, fast... or they're gonna get me. I hope Papa's still free... and alive... cause I might not be much longer."
Part 6: Bad Place
- Zone: Matron's Orphanage
- Region: Containment Level
- Instance: Matron's Orphanage (Walk-In)
- Location: At the A side, inside cell number 02 to the east.
- Investigation: Kennik: " This is no orphanage - it's a prison. No, it's worse - they take kids away and they never come back. Everyone's scared... well, almost everyone. My new friend from Earth isn't scared of anything. Earth is where people like Batman and Superman and like... a dozen Green Lanterns live. She says the good guys will come and save us... I sure hope she's right!"
Part 7: The Monster
- Zone: Matron's Orphanage
- Instance: Matron's Orphanage (Walk-In)
- Location: Inside Bleez's room, behind some crates at the northeastern section.
- Investigation: Kennik: " Grife... I saw the Matron's real face today. She got mad at the Boss Red Lantern and started to yell at him... and her disguise tech shut down. I knew she was doing terrible stuff to kids, but now I know she's a monster physically too. When I saw her real face... I got scared for the first time. Real scared."

Boss Red LanternPart 8: Lost Friend
- Zone: Matron's Orphanage
- Instance: Matron's Orphanage (Walk-In)
- Location: Inside the cell where Kennik was being held.
- Investigation: Kennik: " Oh, no. They took the Earth girl away today. My only friend. She was so brave - everyone else freaks out when the guards come for them, but not her. She even bit one of them! I hope... when they come for me, I hope I can be that brave. And... I hope I see her again someday."

- These investigations are a sequel to the Tales of Kennik story blog.; In Tales of Kennik, it is revealed that the device Kennik uses to record these entries is called a Thoughtscriber, which is based on the Thanagarian tech used to make the Absorbascon.
- In Part 5, the "Red Lantern that looks like a ball with arms and legs" is Zilius Zox. He's yet to appear in the game.
- The fastest way to get to Matron's Orphanage is by using the teleport at the Green Lantern Outpost and selecting the Blue Lantern Outpost, then using the portal at the cave south of the outpost to the Base of Mountain.
