Overview
- Batmage (real name Bruce Wayne) is a villainous version of Batman from the Dark Multiverse, who was appointed by the Batman Who Laughs to watch over Wonder Woman's reign of Hell.
Background
- The Batmage was trained in magic from the master magician Giovanni Zatara and eventually became the Batman. The key difference was that he didn't become a vigilante like Earth 0's Batman, but instead focused on learning Chaos Magic which he eventually mastered. With his powerful magical skills, he would kill the sorcerer Mordru and bound Etrigan to his own soul before conquering all of Earth. He also captured the Spectre and used him to power his magic wand.
- He was recruited by the Batman Who Laughs into the Dark Knights alongside other evil Batmen of the Dark Multiverse and participated in the invasion of Earth 0 under a pact with Perpetua. Batmage himself went to Themyscira where the Amazons and the Justice League Dark confronted him together, but were soon overpowered when he unleashed the demonic hordes (all dressed like Batman) of Hell upon them. Wonder Woman after returning from unsuccessfully battling Perpetua faced him, but was soon forced to submit for the safety of her fellow Amazons. He also conquered all the realms of magic of Earth 0, resulting in devastation of much of the United States.
