Trivia
- All of the pieces are items related to the whereabouts of the crowbar used by the Joker to murder Jason Todd, Batman's second Robin. It references the storylines A Death in the Family (1988), Knightfall (1993), and The Black Mirror (2011). The game hints that each of the parts are steps in the player's search for the infamous tool.
- Gotham River Survey Document: During the events of Knightfall (in which Bane breaks Batman's back, as referenced by Deathstroke in the duo version of Cape Carmine Lighthouse), Joker and Scarecrow teamed up to try and kill the Batman. They kidnapped Gotham City's Mayor Armand Krol in order to lure the Dark Knight to the Gotham River Tunnel; there, Scarecrow's toxin affected the Bat and made him have vision of Jason's murder, and their confrontation ended with Scarecrow flooding the tunnel. The same tunnel might have been the place where the player's character found the lead to the crowbar.
- Smudged 1-900 Number: For the original publication of A Death in the Family, DC Comics set up a 1-900 number hotline to let readers decide the fate of Jason Todd; 5,343 votes were cast for his death, barely surpassing the 5,271 votes for saving him. This may indicate that the player's character is aware that they're a fictional character in a video game.
- Ticket to Lebanon: When Jason Todd finds out that the woman he thought to be his mother was actually his stepmother, he began an investigation to track his biological mother - his investigation took him to Lebanon, where the Joker was smuggling a cruise missile to terrorists. When the crowbar is found (see item 4), it was described as coming from Beirut, Lebanon.
- Mirror House Invitation: In the comics, Dick Grayson is the new Batman and, disguised as the CEO William Rhodes, infiltrates the Mirror House, a mobile auction house used to sell super-villain artifacts and the location of the infamous crowbar, which he discovers by accident. This story is told in The Black Mirror, but the messages from Oracle and Calculator imply that the player's character was the one who tracked down the weapon; the new hero told Oracle who, in turn, informed Batman (Bruce Wayne) about its location. Joker and Calculator are not involved in the events of the original story.
