Overview
- The Enervator is a machine built by the Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination for the purpose of absorbing the powers of metahumans and transferring them to their non-metahuman soldiers and personnel.
- Built within the H.I.V.E.'s volcanic lair, the Enervator utilizes the power of the volcano's seismic activity to not only transfer powers from one subject to another (be it Meta, Magic or Tech) it can also use its captive's power against them to restrain them during the extraction process.

- While the Enervator was used in the original comic book plot of The Judas Contract, the situation was resolved before the machine was ever activated. While the developers of DC Universe Online wished to emulate the original storyline as much as possible, they felt that a boss battle where the Enervator was activated was too good an opportunity to miss and so altered the storyline slightly to include it.
- The hazards in the boss fight (e.g. Raven's Soul Tornadoes) are actually created by the Enervator itself rather than the H.I.V.E. Master, as seen in combat messages.
- Near the top of the machine there are some upside-down text, a large C-7 and a smaller and barely intelligible "Stay clear vents(?)".
