Overview
- In the World of Flashpoint, the histories of many heroes were altered when The Flash attempted to rescue his mother Nora from being killed by Professor Zoom. The Flashpoint Batman is one of them, a dark reflection of not only the concept of Batman, but the man under the mask: his father, Thomas Wayne.
History
- In the Flashpoint timeline, history started the same with Thomas Wayne, his wife Martha and their son Bruce returning from The Mark of Zorro, when they were confronted by Joe Chill. In the main timeline, Thomas and Martha were killed when Thomas attempted to stop Chill from taking his wife's pearls. In this timeline, Thomas made a lunge to take out Chill, but Chill shot and hit Bruce. Bruce died in the alleyway, traumatizing both parents. Thomas tracked down Chill and beat the man to death, but the damage took its toll as Martha, driven to madness by Bruce's death, inflicted herself with a Glasgow Smile, becoming the Flashpoint Joker soon after.
