Overview
- History of Mordru is a collection of investigations that can be found scattered across ... as part of the Justice League Dark episode. There are 5 parts that comprise this set.
Synopsis
- The Wizard at the Rock of Eternity assigned me a book report on Mordru from the Historama. Nobody told me being Shazam included homework!
Part 1: Immortal Lord of Chaos
- Zone: Limbo Town
- Instance: JLD: Fellowship of the Arcane
- Location: Behind the shack in the north of the map
- Investigation: Shazam: " According to the Historama, Mordru is one of the most powerful Lords of Chaos, destined to survive even after the end of the universe. Weird to think he'll be causing trouble a thousand years in the future. I sure hope there's always heroes brave enough to fight against him!"
Part 2: Entombed
- Zone: Shattered Gotham
- Instance: JLD: Shattered Gotham
- Location: On the slanted small floating structure to the right of the entrance area. (You need to jump through the portal left to it to reach it.)
- Investigation: Shazam: " The Historama says Mordru existed even before the universe was created. They called him "Lord Wrynn" on Gemworld. That's where he first got buried alive. No wonder he was so mad about getting entombed in the Rock of Eternity."
Part 3: Fated to fall
- Zone: Shattered Gotham
- Instance: JLD: Shattered Gotham
- Location: On a small floating structure you pass by on your advance through the map - the one where you need to jump from into the moving portal
- Investigation: Shazam: " Mordru tried to steal Dr. Fate's helmet and Fate sealed him in the Rock of Eternity? That's a baller move. Why do I have to read about this in the Historama? Oh, right. Because Fate wouldn't know a story if bit him in the amulet."
Part 4: Taphephobe
- Zone: Chaos Gotham
- Location: On the ground level of the Pillars of Hades in Robinson Park
- Investigation: Shazam: " Mordru has taphephobia? What the heck is that, Historama? Oh, fear of being buried alive. So then what's claustrophobia? Never mind. Feels disrespectful to use the Historama for stuff I can search with my phone."
Part 5: Plethora of Powers
- Zone: JLD: Shattered Gotham
- Location: On the single large round floating island at the right middle of the map. (You have to take the portal off the roof of the temple and then let the ground portal catapult you onto the island.)
- Investigation: Shazam: " Astral projection, flight, force fields, teleportation, energy blasts, reality manipulation... geez, Historama! Is there anything Mordru can't do?[pause] Oh, thanks! I'm sure him having no sense of humor will come in real useful if we sic Beast Boy on him."

Lord of Chaos' GreavesTrivia
- Most of these investigations reference the events of the storylines JSA: Savage Times and JSA: Princes of Darkness (2002-2004), more specifically issues #42 and #43, and #45 through #51. Although it canonizes those events in the game's main continuity, it also highlights key differences; in DCUO, Shazam was not present in the story and, apparently, the Doctor Fate in the story was Kent Nelson instead of Hector Hall.; For Part 1:; It references the words of Fate as he buried Mordru: " Even as the stars burn out and the universe dies, even as time itself ends--you will still be trapped here, preserved like an insect in amber."; It alludes to the fact that, in the comics, Mordru was created to serve as an enemy to the Legion of Super-Heroes: " The Justice Society started something that not even you can erase. From the new generations within our ranks, to the men and women of the Justice League and the Teen Titans... even thousands of years after our final battle - a legion of heroes will still exist." - Doctor Fate (Hector Hall); In Part 2:; "Entombed," directly references Hall's words: " Mordru is finished. Entombed in a place where he'll hurt no one."; Both the investigation and the comics reference the events of the Amethyst limited series (1987-1988), the story about how Mordru came to possess Lord Wrynn of Gemworld.; The information in Part 4 was uncovered by Doctor Fate: " I've looked into your soul, Mordru. I know what you fear more than anything. Being constrained. Bound. Buried."
