The Game's Afoot is a story blog released on January 2025 on the game's website.
It serves as part of the prelude to Day of Reckoning.

Detective Chimp has a meeting with John Constantine in the Oblivion Bar. Chimp is concerned about the new killing spreed in Gotham City, as the mysterious Exobyte Killer seem to now be targeting magic users, and asks Constantine to investigate one of the crime scenes.
Constantine arrives at an alleyway near 22 Haney Avenue by Gotham City waterfront. He notices signs of fight between superpowered individuals, and a spell tells him that the victim was disintegrated. Batman appears and the two exchange notes. The Bat notes that the killer has only recently turned to magic users, and the nightly murders has stopped for 72 hours — which means that the killer might've left the city, so he has told Superman to keep an eye for the killer in Metropolis. He tells Constantine to ask Zatanna to contact him if he finds anything new, and the two part ways.

This story blog features interior artwork from Day of Vengeance #1 (2005) by Justiniano, and from Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Three #1 and Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Three #2 (2014) by Bruno Redondo.
Haney Avenue doesn't exist in the game nor in the comics. It's most likely named after Bob Haney, one of the creators of the Doom Patrol and the original Teen Titans. The warehouse at 22 Haney Avenue doesn't match any building in Gotham City or Tricorner.
This is the first time the wizard Wotan is mentioned in the game's lore. He was created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman as a foe to Doctor Fate, first appearing in More Fun Comics #55 (1940).
"The game is afoot" is a quote popularly associated with Sherlock Holmes.
