| Pos. | Text |
|---|---|
| 1) | Superman #14: "Concerts of Doom" is a Golden Age classic, featuring an iconic cover of Superman holding a bald eagle and standing in front of a star spangled shield background. |
| 2) | All Star Superman #10: "Neverending" was written by Grant Morrison and details the last day in the hectic life of a terminally ill Superman, attempting to prepare the world for his inevitable passing. |
| 3) | Action Comics #252: This Silver Age classic, features the first appearance of Supergirl. This type of comic cover can be found often during the Silver Age, revealing a weird or new character with little indication of their intentions. |
| 4) | New 52 Action Comics Vol. 1: "Superman and the Men of Steel details a new origin story for Superman. It shows an adult Kal-El fighting crime in the "S" clad t-shirt and blue jeans with his signature indestructible cape. |
| 5) | Action Comics #419: "The Most Dangerous Man an Earth" is a classic early Bronze Age tale of the Man of Steel, which includes pencils by Curt Swan, inks by Murphy Anderson and a script by Cary Bates. |
| 6) | Crisis on Infinite Earths #7: "Beyond the Silent Night!" contains one of the most iconic Superman covers in history, featuring the Man of Steel holding the body of his tattered cousin, Supergirl after her heroic and tragic death at the hands of the Anti-Monitor. |
| 7) | Action Comics #684: This story served as a prelude to the original Death of Superman event, precluding the final battle between the two. Interesting piece of trivia, every page of Action Comics #684 consists of just three panels. |
| 8) | World Without a Superman: This trade paperback compiles the final moments of Superman in his first battle with the rampaging alien behemoth, Doomsday and the fallout that takes place as the world comes to terms with the loss of one of its greatest heroes. |
| 9) | Action Comics #1: This is the first appearance of Superman and is considered by most collectors as the most sought after and treasured comic in the world. Currently there are very few original copies left in existence. |
