The Right Guy is a story blog released on January 2026 on the game's website.
It serves as part of the prelude to Hope Burns Bright. The story continues with the chapter mission Refugees' Lament: Search for Survivors.

The Right Guy follows Guy Gardner and Saint Walker as they balance rebuilding, rescue, and the weight of impossible choices in the wake of galaxy-shaking conflict. As refugees seek warmth and shelter, deeper questions loom about redemption, rage, and whether everyone can truly be saved. With humor, heart, and tension, this chapter asks who's really the right guy when hope alone may not be enough.

The Lanterns (represented by Carol Ferris, John Stewart, Atrocitus, Sinestro, and Brother Warth, amongst others) hold a meeting to decide how they are going to approach the Sorrow crisis. Meanwhile, Guy Gardner muses about the villain Evil Star to Saint Walker while preparing a refugee camp. The duo discusses the situation on Mogo and how to deal with Luzia Cavalera. Guy believes Luzia is beyond redemption, while Walker has hope that she can be restored — but both share suspicion about the Red Lantern Corps volunteering to help with evacuating the refugees.
