UnderworldBackground
- Barghest is one of Hades' hounds who ran wild after his master was betrayed by Ares (during the events of Amazon Fury Part II) and dethroned by Ixion. He is named after the mythological dog from the Northern English folklore.
- The original Barghest is a monstrous black dog with fiery eyes and large teeth and claws. He is usually referred to as an omen of death, laying across the threshold of the house of a person who's about to die. He can also make himself invisible and his walking makes a sound like rattling chains, but he's unable to cross rivers.
