Trivia
- As a group, the Flash Family are referred to as "Those Who Ride The Lightning".
- While most would assume the lightning bolt symbol of the Flash represents the speed at which the hero can travel. The symbol actually means different things to each holder of the mantle: to Jay Garrick the symbol represents the Thunderbird: the creator spirit of Native American folklore, and how his power was a divine blessing; Barry Allen kept the lightning bolt and added a circle behind the symbol to symbolize unity, that his life was finally complete; to Wally West, the symbol reminds him of a legend in India where lightning is said to be the flashing of the third eye of Shiva, the light of truth.
