Overview
- The Fortress of Solitude: Power Core is the Fortress of Solitude proper. Constructed solely by Sunstone crystals, the fortress' power core is under duress from Brainiac's attempts to assimilate it to acquire the fortress' vast meta human power.

Walkthrough
- The Power Core is the most difficult of the three Fortress of Solitude raids. To avoid causalities along the path, tanks must draw several mobs to themselves at a time and avoid being swarmed by the whole crowd at once at all costs.
- In the earlier parts of the raid sunstone fortifiers will be found floating above the mobs. They have the ability to render some of the mobs almost invulnerable, so interrupt and destroy them quickly.
- The sunstone assassins are the most dangerous mobs in this raid. They attack with beams that deal around 1000 damage and are often found in clusters. Controllers must focus on keeping them disabled.
- The first boss is either Bizarro, Supergirl or Power Girl. They are fairly easy to defeat. Bizarro and Power Girl's special attack involves using unleashing their flame breath or Freezing Breath respectively to deal heavy damage around themselves. Supergirl spins on the spot to draw players in. Upon defeat, they are freed from Brainiac's control.
- After defeating the kryptonian, Lex Luthor and Superman sees through a transparent pane of crystal that the Avatar of Meta is sapping the fortress' eponymous power core. Luthor suggests they must liberate another weapon of Krypton in order to stand a chance.
- After a corridor is the Phantom Zone chamber. Lex Luthor opens a portal to free General Zod, who will aid against the upcoming fights. The Prime Assassin appears. It is not too difficult but once in a while it would summon several pillars of immunity, affliction or restoration along with several sunstone assassins. Quickly destroy the pillars then the assassins, and continue attacking the boss. The Prime Assassin may also do a special attack by charging straight in a direction dealing heavy damage and knockback.
- Fight through another narrow corridor, and after defeating the Prime Stalker Triad, you must transport a crystal to the end of the chamber, and defend it against Sunstone Sentries until it becomes fully charged and open the door behind it.
- Afterwards, you would emerge back in the central chamber and find the Corrupt Jor-El A.I. boss. The key mechanic is whenever he starts pummelling the ground, debris would rain down with one piece being an interactable sunstone. Pick it up and carry it to the specified sunstone pillar. After a while, the Corrupt Jor-El A.I. will charge towards the pillar; he will grow or shrink in size depending on whether you fail or succeed. He takes greatly reduced damage while the pillar has a sunstone in it prior to his charge. If he is already at minimum size, he always gains size after pummelling the ground.
- It is followed by a section where you are instructed to split the team in two. Typically, 4 players will go with Superman and Zod into the right path, and the 4 others go with Lex Luthor into the left path. You reach a chamber where one side will fight one of the remaining controlled kryptonians, who will retreat at about 2/3 health, while the other side fight generic mobs. If the side with mobs is defeated and the NPC ally is KO'ed, the kryptonian would enrage and easily defeat the players. The situation is reversed in the next chamber where the mobs side has to fight the final kryptonian and vice versa. Then, you have to fight both at once with all 8 players and deplete all their health to free them from Brainiac control.
- The final boss is the Avatar of Meta. There are three power cores in the final chamber. Once in a while, the Avatar of Meta would begin to drain from one of the cores, becoming untargetable during this time. You must interact with the 2 other cores to overload them, while dealing with many lightning tentacles the boss spawns around them. The Avatar of Meta has a high damage stomp attack at melee distance, but at range, its most dangerous attack is Meta Mega-Blast, when it shoots a massive, slow-moving orange orb that detonates on impact, dealing 4000+ damage.
- When the Avatar of Meta is defeated, Zod betrays the group, leading into Fortress of Solitude: Sunstone Matrix.

Trivia
- This raid was introduced with Game Update 5.
- A glitch exists where, while attempting to access a Fortress of Solitude raid, the player might be teleported instead to a location outside of the Fortress of Solitude: Power Core map.
- In the game's early days, Fortress of Solitude: Power Core was the ultimate challenge to the free player (it was released 9 years before episodes were made free to play), to the point it is very rare for a team to reach the final boss, let alone defeat it. Despite the combat rating requirement of 50/53, it was practically impossible to complete this raid without much higher stats. A full team of players with at least 65 CR was recommended.
