Trivia

  • For Part 1:; Oliver Queen and Hal Jordan became an iconic duo during their partnership after Oliver lost his wealth and went through an identity crisis. Green Arrow became co-protagonist in the Green Lantern comics by issue #76 (1970), a partnership that would grant them the title of "Hard Travelling Heroes." The duo was dissolved in issue #122 (1979) for editorial reasons.; When Vicki Vale mentions " a few ends of the world," she's referencing all of the events that are known to the DC Universe as "Crisis" (a major crossover event across multiple issues that usually resulted in a soft reboot). Up to that point, the events were: Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985-1986), Zero Hour (1994), and Infinite Crisis (2005-2006).; Vicki Vale refers to " alien possessions," probably alluding to two events. The first is the storyline Emerald Twilight (1994), in which Parallax was able to possess Hal Jordan after he found out his city had been destroyed (this possession is referenced yet again in the S.T.A.R. Labs Research Facility alert and the Spark of Parallax solo challenge). The second is Blackest Night (2009-2010), in which Green Arrow succumbed to Nekron and became a Black Lantern.; Green Arrow died by sacrificing himself to save Metropolis from a terrorist attack ( Green Arrow #101, 1995). During the events of The Final Night (1996), Oliver was resurrected by Parallax-possessed Hal Jordan (those events made them vulnerable to Nekron during Blackest Night), and Jordan sacrificed himself to stop the Sun from going supernova and exterminating life on Earth. Hal Jordan's spirit would later be taken by the Spectre as his new host during Day of Judgment (1999), as a way to atone his actions as Parallax (Hal becomes a temporary host for the Spectre again during the Lair of the Spectre instance, and that version of the characters make brief apparitions in House of Legends' Living Quarters). In Green Lantern: Rebirth (2004-2005), the Spectre managed to purge Parallax from Jordan's soul and left to find another host, and a Guardian directed the spirit to his old preserved body, bringing him back to life as Green Lantern in time to save Green Arrow and Kyle Rayner from Sinestro. Green Arrow died briefly when he became a Black Lantern during Blackest Night, but was revived by Hal Jordan with the power of the White Lantern Corps.
  • Part 5: Circe's part for this briefing is the same as in Hearts of Darkness: Episode III (Briefings).
