- Level 120+: Your eye beams overheat and explode, damaging enemies near your target
- Level 160+: Burns enemies near your target, making them vulnerable to burning effects

Allies
- Superman Ally's passive ability Kryptonian Channeling grants bonuses for channeled abilities, Heat Vision included (level 6 required):
- Channeled abilities are no longer vulnerable to interrupt
- Increased resistance to control effects
- Increased Defense and Toughness
- Kryptonian Channeling does not stack with the Empowered Channeling mod, but grants +10% Defense and Toughness, plus 25% control resistance when in level 10 – which makes the mod dispensable.
Notes
- Deals 4 Ticks of damage during the animation as well as 12 Ticks of smaller damage.

Trivia
- Doomsday's Heat Vision in The Death of Superman is named Focused Blast in combat messages.
- Ultraman's Heat Vision is named Ultra Vision when fought as a bounty in Earth 3 Gotham and Ultra Beam when fought in Earth 3 Panopticon. The description of I Beam You refers to it as heat vision, but the combat message would simply refer it to "Something", which is a generic placeholder that occurs for a number of unidentified damage sources.
- Due to conventional razors and blades being unable to cut his hair, Superman uses his Heat Vision to shave by reflecting it off of a mirror onto his face.
