Walkthrough
- You start the alert at the Legion Headquarters, where you meet the Legion (Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad). You then proceed into a training room to do a Fitness Test, where you can score points by KOing Training Drone adds, Sentry Turrets or running through yellow rings. At the end you will get a score depending on how many points you got, and there are feats attached depending on what score you get.
- You then proceed to the Orientation Room to have the Orientation, however you are interrupted by an alarm - the HQ is under attack by ProbeTek androids! You then proceed through a series of corridors and KO several Ensorcelled ProbeTek enemies, before eventually reaching Brainiac 5's Lab. There you are greeted by a Metal Construct, who Cosmic Boy quickly underestimates.
First boss: Metal Construct
- Straightforward boss encounter in both regular and elite versions, especially if you follow the below tip:
- Tip: The Small Synthium Crates or Synthium Barrels (barrels) around the room players can interact with, pick up and move to another location. These barrels when broken will release AOE mechanics that add additional hazards to the boss encounter, however if they aren't in the boss encounter to begin with then they aren't an issue for the group. As such, it is best practice for your group to pick up each barrel and place it around the edges of the room as far away from the boss as possible, BEFORE attacking/aggroing the Metal Construct and starting the boss fight. Doing this reduces the difficulty of the boss encounter considerably.
- Mechanics:
- Cosmic Energy: The boss will have a brief red skull icon above their head, before pulling all players in range towards it. This does moderate/considerable damage over time while players are affected.
- The boss will jump on the ground and do a Knockback Attack to all players in range, doing mild damage and knocking back affected players. There will then be onscreen text stating: "Deadly Jump Incoming!", and there will be a red AOE tell in another part of the room indicating where the Metal Construct will jump to. If the player is hit by this jump they will be knocked back and take considerable damage, especially in the elite version.
- Shrapnel Thrower: The boss will have a brief red skull icon above their head, before rotating 360 degrees anticlockwise and doing a cone AOE attack directly in front of it. This leaves a damage over time on affected players if affected. There is a chance that on impact this may deal a Shrapnel Bomb attack, dealing extra damage to the affected player and knocking them back. Metal Construct will often do this mechanic after doing his Cosmic Energy ability, but not always.
- Later in the boss encounter, Metal Construct may spawn Unshaped Metal adds with a timer icon above them to assist it in battle. There will be onscreen text when this occurs, stating: "Destroy Metal Construct Spawners!". KO the adds as soon as possible.
- Metal Construct may have a red skull icon above its head, along with red arrows on the floor indicating where it is going to. The boss will then jump and roll/charge towards its destination. Players affected will take considerable damage and be knocked back and possibly stunned.
- Concussive Stomp: Metal Construct may jump and punch the ground, similar to a Ground Pound. Does moderate damage and knockback to affected players in range.
- (If applicable) Programmed Bot's Small Synthium Crate/Programmed Bot's Synthium Barrel: If these are active in the fight, there is the possibility that these may get broken either by the boss or the players over the course of the fight. If broken they may leave fire, ice, or atomic themed AOEs that deal damage over time to affected players. In addition the ice AOE will encase the player in ice, hard stunning them. It may be required to have a breakout trinket equipped to use in case the affected player is encased in ice at a bad time in regard to other mechanics - only if the group decides to keep the barrels in the fight.
- After the Metal Construct is defeated, the Legion and group head towards "Heaven", also known as the Food Court. There they are greeted by an alternate universe evil version of Cosmic Boy, who starts attacking the group.
Last boss: Evil Cosmic Boy
- Fairly straightforward boss encounter in the regular version. Can be potentially tricky in the elite version if players don't adhere to mechanics properly.
- Mechanics:
- Alcubierre Wave: The boss may do a grey cosmic shockwave in front of it. Players in range of it will take damage.
- Metal Sphere: There will be onscreen text stating: "Watch out for Metal Spheres!". Several brief red donut AOEs will appear around the map, before several vortexes with four Metal Spheres spinning around on each vortex spawn and move around the map a little. If players are stood in the Metal Spheres they will take considerable damage over time, especially in the elite version.
- Metallic Encase: A player may get encased in a Metal Sphere on occasion. They will be hard stunned, and may be freed after a while or by spamming the Square button (on PS), or another player can pick them up and smash them on the floor to free that player faster. If the player has been encased in the Metal Sphere for some time they may levitate into the air. Upon breakout this may do some damage, more likely in the elite version but not exclusively.
- Evil Cosmic Boy may throw projectiles ( Magnetic Bomb, Isotropic Singularity, Gauss Barrage) at its target. Does mild to moderate damage if the player is affected.
- Magnetic Lift: Evil Cosmic Boy may put his hands close together and stun a targeted player on the floor, dealing moderate/considerable damage.
- Primary Attack: Evil Cosmic Boy may fire a metal ball towards a player. Does considerable damage in the regular version and heavy damage (possibly KO for non-tank roles) in the elite version.
- (Elite only) Evil Cosmic Boy may spawn Ensorcelled ProbeTek adds to assist him in battle. This add spawn may include an Ensorcelled ProbeTek Peacemaker add, which may use a special Stolen Voice ability. When it does this to its targeted player, the affected player won't be able to use their abilities, unless the Peacemaker add is somehow stunned, interrupted or defeated.
(Elite only) Charged mechanic
- There will be onscreen text stating: "Charged! Opposites Attract, Likes Repulse!".
- Two players in the group will get a red material and two players in the group will get a blue material.
- There will be a console in the room which affected players can interact with to cleanse this material and return to normal. Mind opposite colour players however when trying to access and activate the console. Eventually this material will disappear and return later regardless.
- If a player with a red material interacts with a player with a blue material (even if one of them has been knocked out and still in the room), they will arc damage towards each other and other players in range, dealing considerable damage to all affected. (More info needed on mechanic name for what causes the damage)
- Have this mechanic in mind for other mechanics in the boss encounter, particularly the shield mechanic. It is best practice also for players to be spread out for most of this boss encounter where possible.
Metal Shield mechanic:
- There will be onscreen text stating: "Evil Cosmic Boy has a Metal Shield!".
- Evil Cosmic Boy will have three metal shields rotating around him.
- In the room there will be several consoles with a gold ring/lightning icon above them, which players can interact with and pick up. If players throw three of these at the boss, his shield will disappear.
- There may be a communicator pop-up from Brainiac 5 when this occurs, where he says in VoiceOver: "He empowered those consoles in his attack! Use them to demagnetize his shield!".
- Once you have defeated Evil Cosmic Boy you have completed the alert.

Additional Lore
- In the final room, there are 7 terminals which, when interacted with, play one of several short bios focusing on leadership qualities of several unique Legionnaires. Starting with the south row, east to west, then north row, east to west, the 7 terminals contain information on:
- Bouncing Boy, Colossal Boy, Brainiac 5, Computo, Chameleon
- Ferro Lad, Element Lad, unnamed female Legionnaire, Dream Girl, Cosmic Boy
- Gold Lantern, Glorith, Invisible Kid, Lightning Lad, Karate Kid
- Mon-el, Monster Boy, Lightning Lass, Matter-Eater Lad, Night Girl
- Phantom Girl, Saturn Girl, Polar Boy, XS, Quislet, Sensor
- Shadow Lass, Star Boy, Tellus, Sun Boy, Shrinking Violet
- White Witch, Tyroc, Wildfire, Triplicate Girl, Ultra Boy, Timber Wolf
- A few interesting notes:
- The bios always come up in this order with the exception of terminal 5 and 7 in the above list, which issue bios randomly.
- While not alphabetically ordered within groups, the groups as a whole compared to each other is. The sole exception is XS, who would fit if moved to the 7th terminal, or if she was sorted based on her comics last name (Ognats) rather than superhero name.
- The entries are voiced by Computo, with the exception of Colossal Boy's entry, which only appears in subtitles.
- Glorith's entry only consists of an error message.
- The unnamed female Legionnaire, based on alphabetical placement and tracking abilities, is most likely Dawnstar.
Trivia
- Many of Evil Cosmic Boy's mechanics are a magnetic/grey version/variant of powers from the Quantum powerset.
