There are three levels of membership in DC Universe™ Online.

Overview

Legendary Access to DCUO now is possible through the new Daybreak Games All Access Membership which was introduced in April 2014. All Access means pay once and have full featured access to all Daybreak games.

Legendary Access requires the purchase of a monthly All Access Membership. Legendary Access will automatically convert to Premium Access at the end of the subscription period if it is not renewed. Additional items and features (e.g., in-game marketplace items and additional inventory slots) are not included and must be purchased separately.

Premium Access will be granted to any player who spends at least U.S. $5.00 (or the foreign equivalent) or 500 Daybreak Cash on items in the DCUO in-game marketplace. Premium Access does not expire.

Provides basic access to the game with limited features. Powers and other items and features are not included and must be purchased separately. However, most items in the marketplace cost at least $5 or 500 Daybreak Cash, which would permanently grant a minimum of Premium Access as well.

Any character created during membership will still be playable after membership ends, even if power set, weapon type or movement mode of that character are not purchased, as long as there are enough character slots (6 by default for premium account). If the number of characters extends character slots, then some characters have to be deactivated and cannot be played until membership or additional character slots are purchased.
Any Marketplace Legends Avatars unlocked with Marks of Legend through the vendor during membership are still playable on the character that unlocked them after membership ends.
Purchasing membership retroactively unlocks members pass for daily login rewards. Therefore, if someone plans to buy only one month of membership (or buys membership on select months) it is more beneficial to log in for at least 21 days of the month with no membership and only then purchase membership at the end of said month to get members daily log in rewards for 2 months (the one that is ending and the upcoming one) for the price of 1 month.
