Description
- The Monarch Playing Card Company is almost as famous for its penchant for being robbed as it is for making top-notch playing cards. Why someone would choose to rob a playing card company is not something I have been able to figure out. Seems too much of a wild card to me. *laughs weakly*
Trivia
- In both it's first appearance in Detective Comics (1937) #168 (February 1951) and Batman (1940) #451 (July 1990), The Monarch Playing Card Company was depicted as being the next door neighbor to Ace Chemicals. In the game, it is simply in the same neighborhood, but a good distance away. Given that Ace Chemicals is very high level area and the extremely toxic nature of the place in-story, this change is understandable.
