Source overview
- Street Art: Bad Seeds Graffiti is a meta feat in the Titans Bay open world zone, part of the chapter Wrath of the Worldkillers. It is part of an action to promote the Batman: Bad Seeds 2026 crossover event.
- In the comics, Vandal Savage became the GCPD Commissioner after the Court of Owls pushed the mayor to depose the then-Commissioner Renee Montoya (who replaced Harvey Bullock after he assumed the position following James Gordon's disappearance). He instituted a surveillance state with extensive police brutality, united the Gotham City Organized Crime Families under his leadership, and declared war on the Bat Family. Poison Ivy was one of many who disapproved of Gotham's new order and decided to run for mayor on a social-democratic platform that included zeroing the city's carbon footprint to attempt to change the system from within. Ivy was seen as a hero after killing Commissioner Savage's tech czar Marie Henley, granting her a landslide victory. During her mandate, Ivy's actions spark a conflict between the Green (the plant kingdom) and the Gray (the fungi kingdom); a plant elemental from the Parliament of Trees named Bog Venus confronted Ivy and manipulated one of her allies. Once the mayor found out about the plot, she killed Bog Venus, putting herself at odds with the Parliament.
- In Batman: Bad Seeds, Poison Ivy hands Gotham City to the Parliament of Trees in exchange for immunity for the killing and protection from Commissioner Savage. Batman, forced to operate in clandestinity, is told by Killer Croc that Savage has made a poison capable of killing Poison Ivy - and thousands of Gothamites -, and that the only way to stop the disaster is to convince Ivy to stop the Parliament from turning the city into a jungle.
