Part 1: Fear Itself
- On the top of a building under construction right in front of the East End Police Station, behind a Box Pallet.
- Recording: Dr. Crane: " Experiment 905: Roosevelt said: 'the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.' He was, of course, utterly wrong."
Part 2: Anxiety's Sting
- There are two nodes for this part. One is located just Southwest of the East End Bowery point in the map (behind the fence), while the other is two blocks West from the Bowery, under the railway to the North.
- Recording: Dr. Crane: " Experiment 910: To acquaint the nervousness of a first date, with the sheer terror one must feel in a plane crash, does a disservice to us all."
Part 3: Terror Suppression
- South from Crime Alley, at the Malone Improvement District block. It's near a truck to the East.
- Recording: Dr. Crane: " Experiment 504: The rostral anterior cingulate cortex gives us some semblance of control over our fear."
Part 4: Hysteria's Song
- There are two nodes for this part: one on the roof of the East End Free Clinic (image), and the other behind the Free Clinic.
- Recording: Dr. Crane: " Experiment 79: Like Ichabod fleeing the Headless horseman, mediated thought is replaced with a stream of hysteria."
Part 5: Pangs of Horror
- Heroes will find this part inside the first room in the Gotham Sewer, in the dead-end tunnel to the South. A node for this part is also available for all players in the open-world zone, on the building Northwest from East End Free Clinic and South from the Amusement Mile area.
- Recording: Dr. Crane: " Experiment 408: The Toxoplasma gondii parasite will actually suppress the rat's fear, making it actively seek out the scent-marked areas of cats."
Part 6: Phobia's Darkness
- Heroes will find this part inside the final room in the Gotham Sewer, near the exit. A node for this part is also available for all players in the open-world zone, Northwest to Crime Alley, in the middle of the housing complexes.
- Recording: Dr. Crane: " Experiment 81: Adverse reactions to specific stimuli can eventually be removed from the subject via carefully measured exposure."
Reward and completion
- Fear Gas Breather Helmet (Antifreeze head style). Heroes receive mail from Doctor Jeremiah Arkham thanking them for the research; villains receive mail from Doctor Jonathan Crane about recovering his early work.
- Collect each of the six distinct parts. Alternate nodes described above are alternatives for the same part, not additional required collectibles.
