Biography
- Origin: Kahndaq
- "The strong must shepherd the weak."
- Technically a former Champion, Teth-Adam still wields the power of SHAZAM! often clashing with the Wizard's current Champion, Shazam.
- After Isis died in an attack on Kahndaq, Black Adam fully dedicated himself to Kahndaq's defense and Isis's resurrection. Some may consider him a villain, but he would call himself uncompromising.

Trivia
- The name of the active is the same as The Merciless' lethal attack when fought for Death Metal Swan Song in Death Metal Washington, D.C., but they are otherwise dissimilar and unrelated.
- Amun, also called Amun-Ra or simply Ra, is the sun god and king of the Egyptian pantheon. He is one of Black Adam's benefactors, corresponding to the first A in the word SHAZAM!, gifting him massive superhuman strength. His power also charges the Orb of Ra, which was responsible to grant Metamorpho his powers.
- Symbolized by a sun-disk, Aten is an aspect of Amun-Ra that represents the sunlight. He is one of Black Adam's benefactors, corresponding to the second A in the word SHAZAM!, gifting him the power of lightning.
- The Freedom of Power Treaty was a coalition proposed by Black Adam after the events of Infinite Crisis, as a way to challenge the unchecked global intervention of superheroes based on the United States. In practice, that means those heroes weren't allowed to operate without prior authorization in sovereign nations such as Kahndaq, Bialya, China, Russia, Egypt, and India. The treaty and its implications were a key parts of the 52 series.
