Sinestro's Corrupted Power Ring is an artifact recommended for the damage role with superpowers and/or controllers.

Avatar of Fear and Avatar of Will are not exclusionary. Both can be active at once as the Avatar is maintained upon switching roles, and both would trigger the on-damage effect as normal until they expire after the usual duration.
Avatar of Fear can be powered up even if you are not in a group, but you must be in combat.
Avatar of Fear's explosion cannot be triggered on a hit that KO'es the target, even if there are nearby valid targets to affect.
Robot Sidekick giving itself power can power up Avatar of Fear. Normally this is of no practical relevance, as in the Control role, using any ability can power up Avatar of Fear. However, it can be useful for AFK filling up Supercharge to max, such as after logging in (which sets Supercharge to zero), on Sparring Targets.

As the artifact is upgraded over time it changes its rarity, ranks 0 to 39 have common, ranks 40 to 79 uncommon, ranks 80 to 119 rare, ranks 120 to 159 epic, ranks 160 to 180 legendary and rank 200 artifact rarity.
