Walkthrough

  • You begin the raid in the Flash Museum, where you speak to Flash before going through a Paradox Tunnel. In this Paradox Tunnel you encounter various Batcave themed adds such as Wing Armors, OMACs and NeurOMACs, before entering the Batcave: Inner Sanctum and encountering the first boss, Brother Eye.
Edit section

First boss: "Brother Eye"/Eye of Paradox

  • Mechanics (as Brother Eye):
  • Eye Beam: Brother Eye will have a skull icon above their head throughout while looking in a particular direction and focusing a red/yellow beam. This beam does considerable damage to affected players. Brother Eye will then rotate either 360 degrees clockwise/anti-clockwise while maintaining the red/yellow beam for a time.
  • Whirlwind Strike: Brother Eye will move around a map in a spinning motion with its sharp tentacles. Anyone directly hit by this will take considerable damage over time while affected and be knocked back.
  • Brother Eye may occasionally move upwards and then teleport near another player via a Boom Tube. If any players are too close to Brother Eye when it does this they will be hit by an EMP Blast, dealing moderate damage and some knockback.
  • After Brother Eye is reduced to approximately 85% health, there will be a short cutscene where Brother Eye will transform into Eye of Paradox.
  • Mechanics (as Eye of Paradox):
  • Dispersal Wave: Eye of Paradox will have a red skull icon above their head while looking in the air and preparing a beam. There will be onscreen text stating the following tell: "Stand in the Beam to Split the Damage!" Affected players (who the Eye of Paradox is looking at) will receive a red arrow above their head as well as a white circle marker on the floor underneath them. These affected players will take considerable damage (more info needed)
  • Paradox Blast (*1): Eye of Paradox will look into the air and launch itself. X red markers will appear on the floor beneath all players. Players should evade this or bombs will fire down from above on the X red markers, impacting 1-2 times and doing heavy damage. This will usually KO in the elite version.
  • Paradox Beam: Eye of Paradox will have a red skull icon above their head while looking at a random player. It will then fire beams at players also in that direction. On the initial impact this will cause knock back and may stun affected players, and will also deal damage over time.
  • Dive Bomb: Eye of Paradox will go upwards into a portal for a short time (while having a red skull icon above his head). Shortly after he will appear again, dealing knock back to all players as well as damage. The closer the affected player is to the Eye of Paradox when this occurs, the more considerable damage this will deal to them.
  • Eye of Paradox will have a red skull icon above their head while looking at a player (usually the player who has aggro and/or is nearby) and will move a little to the right while doing so. If the player doesn't evade and get out of the way beforehand the Eye of Paradox will then move towards the player, doing several big hits of damage via a Stunning Attack, followed by another big hit with a Bite. This is less likely to occur for players who are further away from the Eye of Paradox.
  • After defeating the Eye of Paradox, the group will leave the Batcave: Inner Sanctum and travel through another Paradox Tunnel. In this tunnel there will be several groups of Sunstone themed adds, which the group can defeat or skip past. The tunnel will eventually lead to the Fortress of Solitude: Power Core, where you will encounter the second boss: Avatar of Meta.
Edit section

Second boss: "Avatar of Meta"/Avatar of Paradox

  • Mechanics (as Avatar of Meta): (More info needed)
  • At approximately 85% health Avatar of Meta will transform into the Avatar of Paradox.
  • Mechanics (as Avatar of Paradox):
  • Paradox Energy: A player may get a light aura around them, dealing damage over time to the affected player and other players if they are close by. After a time the affected player will get a light AOE on the floor beneath them, dealing damage over time to them and other players if they happen to move into this AOE. (More info needed)
  • Avatar of Paradox may breathe in, attempting to pull in any players in range towards him. After a short time, Avatar of Paradox may do a Paradox Double Strike, dealing heavy damage to any players in melee/midrange. There is a chance after this that Avatar of Paradox will then fire large red/yellow projectiles (Paradox Mega-Flux) in several directions, dealing damage and some knock back to affected players.
  • Knockback Attack: The targeted player will receive a red arrow above their head and a white circle on the floor underneath them. Avatar of Paradox will then have a red skull icon above their head shortly after and prepare to charge towards the targeted player. Anyone affected by this charge will take large damage (most likely KO in elite) and considerable knockback. The first time this occurs there will be onscreen text stating the following: "Avoid Avatar of Paradox's Charge!"
  • Paradox Reaper adds may spawn to assist the Avatar of Paradox in battle.
  • Paradox Tendril: (More info needed)
  • After the Avatar of Paradox is defeated, the group will proceed through another Paradox Tunnel, encountering Beastiamorph adds along the way. Eventually the group ends up in Themyscira: Gates of Tartarus, and encounters Circe.
Edit section

Third boss: "Circe"/Emissary of Paradox

  • Shortly after commencing the boss encounter with Circe, she quickly disappears and leaves you with a wave of Bestiamorph adds. After they are defeated there will then be several waves with Paradox adds.
  • Adds of note:
  • Paradox Obliterator: This add will prepare a large red AOE attack, indicated by a large red tell on the ground. It it best practice to KO this add as soon as possible, especially in elite. This is stated in on-screen text when it appears for the first time: "Take Out Paradox Obliterator before it can Detonate!"
  • Paradox Ruin Herald: This add will buff other adds. This is stated in on-screen text when it appears for the first time: "Paradox Ruin Herald Buffs its Allies!"
  • Paradox Crazeguard: This add will protect other adds. This is stated in on-screen text when it appears for the first time: "Paradox Crazeguard Protects its Allies!"
Edit section

Paradox Statue:

  • One of the main mechanics of the boss encounter, more so in elite.
  • The first time this spawns there will be on-screen text stating the following: "Take Control of Statue's Home Foundation to Stop it".
  • Paradox Statue adds will spawn which can only be stopped if player stand in its spawn point/home foundation for a time and capture it. These home foundations are located in the northwest/northeast/southwest/southeast of the room. Capturing this point will stop the statue in its place, but consider that you won't be able to capture this point if enemy NPCs are also within the area of the home foundation.
  • Home foundations that are contested will have a light red ring on the platform where they are located, and home foundations that are in the process of being captured by group members will have a light blue ring on the platform where they are located. Once the home foundation has been captured by group members the ring will disappear.
  • In the elite version, Paradox Statues will have role icons above their head along with an aura. Paradox Statues with a DPS role icon will have a red aura, and will debuff damage dealt from nearby players. Paradox Statues with a Controller role icon will have a blue aura, and will debuff power regeneration. Paradox Statues with a Healer role icon will have a green aura, and will debuff healing in for nearby players. Paradox Statues with a Tank role icon will have a yellow aura, and will debuff defence, namely for nearby tanks. These debuff mechanics will need to be taken into consideration for the group especially if they are in melee/midrange of Paradox Statues for whatever reason.
  • After a while, the Emissary of Paradox spawns.
  • Mechanics:
  • Charge Attack: The boss may charge towards a random player. Does considerable damage and knockback if players are hit directly.
  • Paradox Burst: (More info needed)
  • Paradox Blast (*2): Blue AOEs may spawn, which will deal damage over time if players are affected.
  • After defeating the Emissary of Paradox the group will then proceed through another Paradox Tunnel, encountering Paradox adds along the way. Eventually the group enters Paradox Wave, where they encounter the final boss: Paradox Kraken.
Edit section

Last boss: Paradox Kraken

  • Mechanics:
  • Paradox Kraken may spawn Paradox Tentacle adds around the map. These may hit nearby players with a Swipe.
  • Interdimensional Ink: Paradox Kraken will have a red skull icon above their head while looking at a player, before shaking its head while looking at the sky and firing a black beam on the affected player. When this occurs there is onscreen text stating: "The Pool and Puddles of Paradox Energy can Remove Interdimensional Ink". Another alternative onscreen text tell states the following: "Kraken Spray can Remove Interdimensional Ink". (More info needed on how Interdimensional Ink affects the player)
  • Kraken Spray: Paradox Kraken shakes its head before firing a purple/gold attack towards the group. This does moderate/considerable damage over time to affected players, and leaves Puddles of Paradox Energy AOEs underneath players if they stand in the same location for too long. These AOEs can be used to cleanse Interdimensional Ink if a player gets affected by this mechanic.
  • There is a large Pool of Paradox Energy in the middle of the room which players can jump into, either to cleanse Interdimensional Ink and/or to teleport to where the boss will move to. The room is quite large and the boss will periodically look in a direction, dive into the pool and appear in another area where they were looking to move to. There is a chance that if a player jumps into a Pool of Paradox Energy that they may take significant damage.
  • Paradox Reaper adds may spawn to assist the Paradox Kraken in battle.
  • After you have defeated Paradox Kraken you have completed the raid.
  • *Note the walkthrough above is not yet complete and will receive later updates. More information needed on the Paradox Tendril mechanic on second boss, what mechanics Avatar of Meta has before transforming, the Paradox Burst mechanic on third boss, and how Interdimensional Ink affects the player in last boss.

Trivia

  • The raid as it progresses is like a time travel through the early years of DC Universe™ Online history. Parts of the following locations appear in the Speed Force Flux: Flash Museum, Batcave, Fortress of Solitude, Themyscira and Paradox Wave.
  • The Interdimensional Ink mechanic name from the Paradox Kraken boss encounter shares similarities to Dimensional Ink, the game development company that currently owns DC Universe Online.
  • If the player decides not to need elite commendation from the elite commendation pack (rewarded in the Elite version) and chooses the source marks instead, they can receive up to 20 Source Marks from defeating every boss encounter in the elite version of Speed Force Flux while not loot locked.
  • If a bonus week for the current episode happens to coincide with the Anniversary event being live, players will receive not only the most current episode currency dropped from this raid, but the bonus marks also. For example in early 2023 Coins of Ra (the currency from the then most recent episode, SoBA: Sins of Black Adam) were rewarded to players as loot in this raid instance after defeating bosses, and there was a bonus week with 3x Coins of Ra active on the last week that the Anniversary event was up.
