Overview
- Raids are instanced locations where 8 players come together to take on the challenges of the raid. Raids yield powerful equipment and a large amount of marks and episode-specific currency but have a very high difficulty.
Access
- In order to enter a Raid, players must queue up using On Duty Menu (Default PC Key 'Y'), and choose appropriate roles they wish to fulfill. They will then be placed in a queue that searches for other players who wish to do the same raid, and be prompted to enter when an instance is available. It is also possible to use the entrance portals. Raids take teamwork and require 8 players.
- Raids are only accessible once you hit level 30 and additional Combat Rating requirements must be met.
- Tier 1 raids require Level 30 to enter.
- Tier 2 raids require a Combat Rating of 60 to enter.
- Tier 3 raids require a Combat Rating of 100 to enter.
- Tier 4 raids require a Combat Rating of 150 to enter.
- Tier 5 raids require a Combat Rating of 210 to enter.
- Tier 6 raids require a Combat Rating of 280 to enter.
- Tier 7 raids require a Combat Rating of 440 to enter, except for the three most recent chapters, which each have an increasingly higher CR requirement.
- Casual difficulty mode is also available in the On Duty menu for many Raids and provides and easier version of the content for any player Level 15+ that has completed their Level 17 Mentor-based Missions.
Dominance Requirement
- The Dominance Requirement for a Raid is the minimum amount of Dominance required for player Crowd Control effects to affect normal Raid opponents. Tanks and Controllers should meet this minimum Dominance requirement so that Crowd Control powers are effective in a Raid.

Feats
- The feats for the raids of the Classic Game are listed under Raids Feats, further raid feats can be found under Story Arcs Feats.
Treasure Chests

- Some raids feature treasure chests, though in some cases accessing those might require doing a feat.
Trivia
- Since A Black Dawn/ With a Vengeance and Unpaid Dues/ Seeds of Rot in the Hand of Fate raids can also be operations, i.e. instances with multiple locations.
- Raids usually award 10 Source Marks each, but there are a few exceptions (6 from Fortress of Solitude: Sunstone Matrix and 5 from Doomsday (Raid)), possible due to their very short length.
- Flashback raids introduced with the switch to chapters are only available during the corresponding Chapter Events (Initial release, Aftershock, Finale).
- Although Seasonal raids can be accessed by players Level 10+, completion will not count toward Event Progression rewards until the player character is Level 20+.
