T.O. MorrowPick up the Cleanse Rifle
- You must interact with the suit next to Daniels and get the Cleanse Rifle to proceed. You'll get the basic rifle melee attacks, a water jet range attack and the following new powers:
- Grenade Launcher
- Cleansing Spray
- Cryo-foam
- Bunker Buster
- Revert form
- Note that you can now get rid of the suit any time by using the Revert form power, but the rifle will wear off after 5 minutes. If you lose the rifle, go back and interact with the suit again.
Eliminate Mutant Growths
- Go west to the Processing Vats. You'll find slimes similar to the Demon Pod - Inert base item, all marked with lightning icons. You need to destroy 6 of those growths using the Cleanse Rifle, then go back to HAZMAT Daniels to learn what to do next.

Demon Pod - InertCure Infected Civilians + Defeat Mutants
- Go to the north until you get to the outbreak itself. You must use the rifle's range attack (water jet) to cure the Infected Civilians without killing them. If your precision stats are too high, briefly tap the range attack button (right mouse button on PC, triangle on Playstation, Y on Xbox). You may remove some gear if you want, but that will drop your health too, leaving you vulnerable to attacks.
- Cure 8 Civilians and defeat 8 Mutants to proceed. You don't need to be carrying the Cleanse Rifle for the Mutants to count, so you can use your own weapon to finish this objective if you lose the rifle.
Defeat the Source of the Outbreak
- Once you're done with the previous objectives, the source of the outbreak will spawn in the area: a Mutant Gorilla. The gorilla is very aggressive, it will attack you on sight. Defeat it to finish the mission.
