Volatile ChemlingWalkthrough
- This mission can be separated in two parts.
Speak to HAZMAT Williams
- Follow the Navigation Diamond (if it's active in Settings > UI) to the southeast portion of Ace Chemicals, the Processing Vats area. HAZMAT Williams is on the roof right behind the giant Ace Chemicals sign. Interact with him and he'll tell you what to do.
Grab HAZMAT Suit
- Once you interact with the suit next to Williams, you'll be turned into a HAZMAT yourself. Keep in mind that you'll lose all of your special movements - you can only run and jump. The transformation will wear off after a while (approx. 5 minutes), and you'll have to return to the terminal to transform again.
Holes in Piping + Volatile Chemlings
- Now, you must walk on the pipes nearby and stop the leaking. You must wear the HAZMAT suit to able to interact with and patch the holes. Beware the Chemlings up there, they're only attack is to explode, which will very probably knock you out from the pipes. Patch 8 holes to proceed.
- The Volatile Chemlings can be found everywhere in the highlighted area for this objective, but you can find the 5 you need to proceed along the pipes. You needn't the suit for the eliminations to count.
- If you fall from the pipes while wearing the suit, you can't transform back, but there's a way back up: there are crates strategically placed near HAZMAT Williams that you can use to reach him again.
- When you finish, go back to HAZMAT Williams and interact with him so he can tell you what to do next.
Grab Cleanse Rifle
- Interact with the other suit near HAZMAT Williams to acquire a new weapon: the Cleanse Rifle (if you're not wearing the HAZMAT suit anymore, you'll acquire it again, with all its limitations). You'll get the basic rifle melee attacks, a water jet range attack and the following new powers:
- Grenade Launcher
- Cleansing Spray
- Cryo-foam
- Bunker Buster
- Revert form
- Note that you can now get rid of the suit any time by using the Revert form power.
Large Northern Pipes
- Now, go to the North portion of Ace. There isn't a way to get to the objective without facing any enemies. If you revert back from the suit you'll get there faster, and there's another suit crate in the area that you can use to transform again. If you wish to keep the suit, follow the pipes to the North, then go down to the ramp; go up the ramp and you'll get there.
Clear Out Mutated Birds
- In order to complete this objective, you must use the rifle's range attack (water jet) to knock 12 mutated birds from the large pipes without killing them. If you lose the Cleanse Rifle and HAZMAT suit, use the suit crate on the pipe, next to the ramp.
- If your combat rating levels are too high, the water jet will kill the birds in one hit. To complete this objective, remove all of your gear and any artifacts and augments that improve your precision and/or might status. If that's not enough, check your stat points; if you spent a large number of skill points on damage status, go and reset your skill points using any Respec Station (use a base amenity or the one at the Training Room in the House of Legends), then go back to Ace Chemicals to finish the mission. You'll be able to revert the changes using your Armory.
Defeat Chemicrow
- On the other end of the pipes at the Chemical Storage Pool, there's a larger bird, called Chemicrow. Get to it and defeat it. You don't need to be wearing the HAZMAT Suit nor the cleanse rifle to complete this objective. Kill Chemicrow to finish the mission.
