Overview
Superman's 80th Celebration
- The first Superman celebration content was a 2-month event that ran in 2018. Players were granted a Daily Planet Vending Machine base item in April ahead of mysterious greater content. It was later revealed that the content would be Death of Superman, a free-to-play arc in three parts based on the group of iconic storylines known as Death and Return of Superman (1992-1993):
- Part One, May: Doomed Metropolis open-world zone and content.
- Part Two, June: Doomsday raid, Superman's 80th Emblem (limited time), and new rewards. In the Watchtower, Superman was temporally replaced by a House of El sunstone capsule.
- Part Three, June: The Last Son of Krypton solo challenge and new rewards, and the release of the Kryptonian Time Capsule.
