• " This small town is Smallville. We've discovered Lex is attempting to develop a new weapon against Brainiac. He's iterating on Exobyte technology, using Doomsday as his muse. These people are test subjects for Lex's new strain. With your prior Exobyte exposure, you are immune but we need to know more in order to reverse the effects on these citizens. Calm the situation here and get to the LexCorp Analysis Units." — Martian Manhunter
• " Now that you've arrived in glorious downtown Smallville, I'm afraid I was not quite honest with you. This is not just a recon mission. Lex needs to measure his test subjects. He and I agree that, with your Exobyte-given powers, you might survive more than five minutes. We'll be watching your progress closely." — Talia al Ghul
