Overview
- Casual refers to the difficulty mode for instances in episodes, and chapters.
- Casual instances are versions of Challenges, Duos, Alerts, and Raids found in the On Duty menu, with simpler mechanics and Combat Rating scaling. They may also feature fewer mechanics than what are present in the Normal version, and can have separate rewards and Feats specific to this version.
- Casual difficulty was previously referred to as "Event" or "Event versions" in the game and here on the DC Universe Online Wiki.

- Casual instances are available in the On Duty menu for players that are Level 15+ that have completed their Level 17 Mentor-based Missions.
