Fearful Day Release NotesTrivia
- Fearful Day is the first time DC Universe™ Online utilised a dialogue system, and the first time the player character has exact dialogue (albeit unvoiced). While the player character is obviously capable of speaking, previously players can only infer what they said from NPC reactions. NPCs who are to be spoken to via this kind of dialogue has a golden circle around the speech bubble above their heads unlike the regular pale blue.
- To access this content player characters must have completed either the mission ? (heroes) or ? (villains).
- The alert FD: Protecting Mogo, offers a condensed version of the raid FD: Defending Mogo. While scaled down for a smaller team, it preserves the key narrative and combat moments, including battles against Qwardian defenses and a confrontation with Amon Sur.
- Continuing the pattern from Day of Reckoning, story-wise the Hidden Lantern Village Challenge takes place after the Defending Mogo Raid/Protecting Mogo Alert. Walk-in Story versions of the On-Duty instances are encountered during first play through in missions as follows:; Defending Mogo Raid/Protecting Mogo Alert: Confronting Amon; Hidden Lantern Village Challenge: Fearful Clash
- Light and Rain Chapter 2 Story Blogs #1 to #3 serve as a prelude to Fearful Day.
- Once the introductory narrative missions have been completed by one player character, a Fearful Day: Account Mission Skip Voucher is rewarded and can be used to have the option to skip those missions on alternative player characters on the account.
- This is the first story arc (episode or chapter) which does not feature new base items since the introduction of base items in 2013.
- Origin Augments are now maxed out at 422.
- Generic gear's maximum level is raised to 400.
- This Episode marks the first appearance of the Gray Lantern Corps in DC Universe Online, and their first appearance in any adaptation outside of the comics.
