Overview
- Pets are summoned NPCs that aid the player in battle until killed or unsummoned. Pets can take the forms of robots, floating sentry turrets, orbs or elemental golems.
- Powersets that include pet summons are Nature, Earth, Gadgets, Ice, Iconic, Mental and Sorcery. Other pets can be summoned through the use of trinkets or consumables.
- The ranked-up Source Shard artifact, the Hear My Call ability from Ally: Emperor Aquaman and Arcane Battery ability from Ally: Zatanna can be used to boost the attack of combat pets except for turrets and allies. The M.E.R.C.Y. Amazotron Matrix also may boost the damage of Crystal, Fury, Exobyte-Attuned Robot Sidekick or Robot Sidekick and/or shield certain pets and allies.
- Certain healing powers and M.E.R.C.Y. Restorative Module can heal pets as well.
- Players can spawn a temporary Trinket pet sooner than their default cooldown when equipping a rank 200 M.E.R.C.Y. Attack Protocol and minimum rank 120 Dead King's Scepter.

Pet Tiers
- Tier 1 pets behave as they always have.
- Tier 2 pets do 5 percent more damage than Tier 1 pets.
- Tier 2 Mobile Pets have increased in size and now have 50 percent more hit points.
- Tier 3 pets do 5 percent more damage than Tier 2 pets.
- Tier 3 Mobile Pets will be immune to Crowd Control and have extra effects or flair to them, except for Survival Mode pets which have unique texture and model combinations.
- Tier 1 drops from Event, Tier 2 drops from Normal, and Tier 3 drops from Elite.
- All of the above pets have new icons that are color coded to Tier - Green = Tier 1, Blue = Tier 2, Purple = Tier 3.
- Existing Tier 1 pets have had their Source Mark prices changed to be in line with Tier 1 pets obtained in a future Vendor update.
- The new price for any Tier 1 pet will be 100 Source Marks.
- All tier pets have 3 tiers.
