Overview
- Hope Burns Bright is Tier 7 playable content that contains the open world Frozen Mogo, the raid HBB: Matron's Orphanage and a scaled-down alert version HBB: Matron's Orphanage Alert, the challenge HBB: Summit of Sorrow, plus the Flashback instances HBB Flashback: Zamaron Conversion Chamber and HBB Flashback: Love and War that were available during the initial release window.
- The chapter is intended to be the fourth and final of a 4-part Story Arc, " Light and Rain".
- The Casual mode version is available for player characters with level 20 or above.
- This chapter also features an event running from January 27 through February 23, 2026, where exclusive rewards and resources can be earned by completing missions to earn progress points.
- Chapter 4: Hope Burns Bright was released on January 27th, 2026. Access to this content is available to all players for free.

- From the depths of sorrow, a spark of hope ignites. In Chapter Four of Light and Rain: Hope Burns Bright, the Gray energy wave continues to spread across the stars, threatening to extinguish all life. Mogo, once mournful, now stands on the brink of becoming something far worse, frozen, shattered, and lost forever. Luzia Cavalera’s sorrow has reached a critical point, and unless she is reached in time, the living planet will not survive.
- Stand with the Lantern Corps as hope and will clash against rage and despair. The future of Mogo and the emotional spectrum itself depends on you.
Frozen Mogo
- The living planet has been overtaken by encroaching Gray energy, locking vast regions of Mogo in a state of frozen despair. Heroes and Villains arrive at Frozen Mogo to evacuate survivors, provide aid, and push back the manifestations of sorrow before it’s too late.
HBB: Matron's Orphanage
- Face overwhelming forces as you protect what remains of the Corps’ future. Multiple difficulty options allow all players to experience the story, with Elite challenges pushing coordination and skill to the limit.

- A condensed experience that preserves the chapter’s key story beats, designed for smaller strike teams.
HBB: Summit of Sorrow
- Ascend into the heart of Luzia’s despair in this story-focused solo mission, available in Story, Normal, Casual, and Elite versions. Confront sorrow head-on and prove that hope still burns bright.
HBB Flashback: Zamaron Conversion Chamber
- Revisit the dangers of emotional conversion as ancient powers resurface.
HBB Flashback: Love and War
- Relive one of the Lantern saga’s most defining battles, now offering rewards tied to Hope Burns Bright.

Trivia
- Once the introductory narrative missions have been completed by one player character, a Hope Burns Bright: Account Mission Skip Voucher is rewarded and can be used to have the option to skip those missions on alternative player characters on the account.
- Continuing the pattern from the prior three chapters, story-wise the Summit of Sorrow Challenge takes place after the Matron's Orphanage Raid/Alert. Walk-in Story versions of the On-Duty instances are encountered during first play through in missions as follows:; Matron's Orphanage Raid/Alert: A Daring Rescue; Summit of Sorrow Challenge: Clash of Sorrow and Hope
- Origin Augments are now maxed out at 442.
- Generic gear's maximum level is raised to 420.
